1.  Security and Privacy

The Authorize.Net Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the credit card and electronic check processing networks (see an online payments diagram). The company adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:

  • 128-bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology for secure Internet Protocol (IP) transactions.

  • Industry leading encryption hardware and software methods and security protocols to protect customer information.

  • Compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.

2. Common Terms

Screen Printing: an image is transferred to the printed surface by ink, which is pressed through a stenciled screen and treated with a light-sensitive emulsion. Film positives are put in contact with the screens and exposed to light, hardening the emulsion not covered by film and leaving a soft area on the screen for the squeegee to press ink through. (Also called silk screening)
Pad Printing: a recessed surface is covered with ink. The plate is wiped clean, leaving ink in the recessed areas. A silicone pad is then pressed against the plate, pulling the ink out of the recesses, and pressing it directly onto the product.
4-color Process: a system where a color image is separated into 4 different color values by the use of filters and screens (usually done digitally). The result is a color separation of 4 images, that when transferred to printing plates and printed on a printing press with the colored inks cyan (blue), magenta (red), yellow and black, reproduces the original color image. These four colors can be combined to create thousands of colors.
Pantone Matching System (PMS): a book of standardized color in a fan format used to identify, match and communicate colors in order to produce accurate color matches in printing. Each color has a coded number indicating instructions for mixing inks to achieve that color.
Camera-ready: artwork that is black and white and has very clean, crisp lines that make it easy to scan and suitable for photographic reproduction.
Bleeds: printers cannot print right to the edge of a paper sheet. To create that effect, the printer must use a sheet, which is larger than the document size. Then the printer prints beyond the edge of the document size (usually 1/8?), then cuts the paper down to the document size.
Imprint Area: the area on a product, with specific dimensions, in which the imprint is placed.
Paper proof: Impression of type or artwork on paper so the correctness and quality of the material to be printed can be checked. The least expensive is a regular black and white faxed paper proof.
Pre-production Proof: an actual physical sample of the product itself produced and sent for approval before an order goes into production.
Drop Shipment: an order shipped to more than one location will be charged a fee for each additional destination.
Less than Minimum: the fee charged for ordering 50% fewer items than the quantity listed in the minimum or first column. This option is not always available on all products.
Etching: using a process in which an image is first covered with a protective coating that resists acid, then exposed, leaving bare metal and protected metal. The acid attacks only the exposed metal, leaving the image etched onto the surface.
Engraving: cutting an image into metal, wood or glass by one of three methods--computerized engraving, hand tracing, or hand engraving.
Colorfill: screen printing an image and then debossing it onto the vinyl's surface
Embroidery: stitching a design into fabric through the use of high-speed, computer-controlled sewing machines. Artwork must first be "digitized," which is the specialized process of converting two-dimensional artwork into stitches or thread. A particular format of art such as a jpeg, tif, eps, or bmp, cannot be converted into an embroidery tape. The digitizer must actually recreate the artwork using stitches. Then it programs the sewing machine to sew a specific design, in a specific color, with a specific type of stitch. This is the process known as digitizing.
Debossing: depressing an image into a material's surface so that the image sits below the product surface
Embossing: impressing an image in relief to achieve a raised surface
Hot Stamp: setting a design on a relief die, which is then heated and pressed onto the printing surface
Laser or Foil Stamp: applying metallic or colored foil imprints to vinyl, leather or paper surfaces
Personalization: imprinting an item with a person's name using one of several methods such as mechanical engraving, laser engraving, hot stamping, debossing, sublimation, or screen printing, to name a few.
Die-casting: injecting molten metal into the cavity of a carved die (a mold)
Die-striking: producing emblems and other flat promotional products by striking a blank metal sheet with a hammer tht holds the die
Overruns/Underruns: In many cases you may receive more or less pieces than you had ordered.It is our intention to minimize the occurrence of overruns and/or under-runs. However, due to the nature of manufacturing with high speed imprinting machinery coupled with damages that are removed during quality control, overruns/under-runs are a common occurrence in this industry. Printers have to print many more than your order to get a perfect set.  Most promotional items have a 5%  over/under policy. This means that if you order 1,000 pieces, you may receive 1,050 or 950. In some cases, an up to 25% over/under policy is standard with an order as in the case of imprinted paper or plastic bags.

When an exact quantity is necessary for your event, it should be specified to your sales rep and should appear on your final estimate. In some cases, an additional charge may be incurred by requesting exact orders.  If you do not specify, you may end up with more or less than your order.

We only bill for what is actually shipped. In the case of underruns, we also only bill for what was shipped to you."

3.  Payment Policies

All new customers are required to prepay entire order before production can begin on their order.  RUSH orders are to also be 100% prepaid and production will not start until payment has been received.  For payment, Mr. Incentives accepts: Visa, MasterCard, Checks, Money Orders, certified school or government Purchase Orders, and Purchase Orders from customers upon credit approval.

Terms are given at the discretion of Mr. Incentives.  The full amount of an invoice may and can be charged to the supplied credit card on file at any point before, during, or after the order. There is a $35 service fee for each returned check. All refunds of $100 or more will be returned by bank check within 10-15 business days via first class mail.

4.  Return Policy
No returns of imprinted products are accepted unless otherwise stated by Mr. Incentives.  Orders not returned in a time stated by Mr. Incentives, will be billed to the client and not be accepted for return or refund. Un-imprinted merchandise returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee and the necessary freight costs to return the product do apply. A cancellation fee of $30 will be applied to all canceled jobs unless advised otherwise. Any chargeable services including, but not limited to, art charges, paper or product proofs, setup charges, digitizing (embroidery), or shipping charges -performed up until the time of cancellation will be billed at Mr. Incentives' discretion.  Any imprinted products returned in violation of this policy may be discarded by Mr. Incentives.

5. Claims Processing
In the case that you receive an order in error, or if you have any questions concerning an order you have already received, please contact customer service within 5 working days of receipt of the merchandise. Claims made after this time will not be reviewed. The customer is responsible for the return freight back to Mr. Incentives, unless otherwise noted. Before Mr. Incentives can begin to process a claim, a sampling of the goods (quantity will be determined at Mr. Incentives) must be provided for us to review. Merchandise returned without prior authorization from Mr. Incentives will be rejected. Incomplete or partial returns will not be accepted. Mr. Incentives reserves the right to take up to seven working days to process/review a claim from the date of receipt of the goods in question. Any credits, returns, or refunds will be processed within two business days after review, unless otherwise noted. Please see our payment policy for further information.

6.  Imprinting Policies
Mr. Incentives will size all artwork to utilize each items maximum imprint area unless otherwise noted in writing by the customer. 15% over or 15% under the quantity ordered is deemed acceptable for all items. (For Example - If you order 100 pens, you may receive 85 pens or 115 pens.) Either way you will be billed for the exact amount shipped. Color mis-registration of the industry standard 1/16 inch is considered acceptable but may different depending on the item.

7.  Shipping Policies/Due Dates

Mr. Incentives reserves the right to choose the carrier and to use expedited shipping to meet customer deadlines. Estimated "In-Hands" dates are not guaranteed unless specifically marked on the signed, dated, and approved customer order acknowledgment as an "EVENT DATE." Production time begins from the date the order has been released into production.  Artwork being processed in the art department does not count towards production time.

8.  Cancellation Policies:
There is a 3 day cancellation period on all orders.  After 3 days time, no cancellations will be accepted and you will be responsible for 100% of order costs.  Also, we are not responsible for any errors once a proof is signed by customer.  Once this proof is signed by customer, customer is 100% responsible for payment on the order. 

9.  How do I request a sample? Can I order a sample online?
We know that it's important to be able to evaluate items first hand. In order to help you purchase with confidence, we have developed the following Sample Policy:

- Samples can be requested with the assistance of a Sales Specialist at Mr. Incentives will provide a free sample up to $5.00 (in the topmost pricing column shown on the product page).

- Mr. Incentives will pay for shipping via ground service on your first sample. You can provide your shipping account number if you would like the shipment expedited.

- We reserve the right to refuse to ship samples to any party at our discretion. Thank you for your cooperation.
10.  Can I order less than the stated minimum?
In order to be able to provide our clients with the ability to place small orders for custom merchandise, we are pleased to offer "Less than Minimum Service." A $50.00 factory less than minimum charge will apply for all customized orders below the stated minimum quantity. We apologize for any inconvenience this policy may cause, but customization is costly and complex work. We suggest increasing the number of goods ordered for your use at other times.
